"The first one I told before my fiancée was my son," he told the New York Daily News. "He was in the shower, and I said, 'I told you Pop was going to win twice.'"
After his most recent win in the "Week for life" game, Magistro opted to receive payments of $1,000 a week for the rest of his life as opposed to $1 million in cash.
"I'm going to take the annual payments. It's under mine and my son's name so my kids will be able to enjoy it after I pass as their inheritance," he said.
Magistro is still receiving $33,090 after taxes every year from his first lottery win, but said most of that money went to medical treatments for his late wife, who died of lung cancer.
"The last time, my wife was sick and needed the money for bills and everything, It gave me the opportunity to stay home with my wife for three years," he said. "This time, hopefully, I'll invest it and make more money off of it."
He added that he'll continue playing the lottery and chasing a third win.
"I'm hoping to win three times," Magistro said. "You just got to believe. You never know."
