MIAMI, April 28 (UPI) -- A Florida company unveiled the "Hoverseat," a hoverboard attachment designed to transform the self-propelled scooters into motorized chairs.

Miami-based Boats To Go posted a video to YouTube showing how the patent-pending attachment can turn the electric hoverboard devices into slow-speed vehicles similar to go-karts.

"Any type of beach chair or cooler can be installed on aluminum frame," the company said.

The company said it has already sold out of its first batch of Hoverseats, which start at $69, but more of the devices are expected to be in stock around the end of May.
