Millions of geese migrate through North Dakota

WOODWORTH, N.D., April 1 (UPI) -- A massive flock of snow geese were spotted on a lake in North Dakota as they began their annual migration.

Video shared to Facebook by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Mountain-Prairie Region shows the geese in a long, linear formation that contained more than one million birds.

"The snow goose migration is well underway in central North Dakota!" Fish and Wildlife wrote.

The flocks stretched one mile long and was hundreds of yards wide.

Photographer Rick Bohn captured the footage and said it took 15 photos to capture the entire length of the flock.
