CANBERRA, Australia, March 22 (UPI) -- A pair of Australian tradesmen purportedly used chainsaws to destroy their work site and filmed the destruction as retribution for lack of payment.

A video posted to Facebook by the Uptrend Engineering & Construction group shows two men using chainsaws to destroy what appears to be a partially-built home.

The men and the construction site in the video, which appears to have been originally sent via Snapchat, were not identified by the Facebook post.

"When this guy's boss didn't pay his workers on time.. He is gonna learn the hard way to never do that again," the Facebook post reads.

Many comments criticized the builders for creating a potentially dangerous situation with their destruction. Others blasted the men for over-reacting to a late payment.
