EBINA, Japan, March 14 (UPI) -- A high school student in Japan threw a paper airplane out of a window and the "miracle" plane made a boomerang return to his hand.

The video, posted to Twitter by Ikuya Hara, shows the student throw a paper plane out of a window in Ebina, Kanagawa Prefecture.

The plane performs 24 seconds of aerial maneuvers that appear to take the paper object increasingly further away from the student and his onlooking friends.

However, the plane eventually cruises right back to the same window where it originated and is snatched out of the air by its creator, eliciting cheers of disbelief from his comrades.

Ikuya branded the plane's return a "miracle" in his tweet.
