ALICE SPRINGS , Australia, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- A baby kangaroo living at a wildlife sanctuary in Australia desperately begged one of its caretakers for a drink of milk.

The Kangaroo Sanctuary Alice Springs shared video showing the baby kangaroo excitedly jumping and clinging to the sanctuary employee's leg as he prepares a meal for the animal.

Earlier in February a kangaroo from the Alice Springs sanctuary was shown on video climbing into a cloth sack meant to simulate its mother's pouch.

The sanctuary gladly accepts the role of surrogate mothers to the young kangaroos, speculating the baby's thoughts by writing "But mum! I want my milk now!"
