Cow rescued after sinking into bog in China

BEILIU, China, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Emergency responders and citizens in China spent more than an hour rescuing a cow that became stuck when most of its body sank into a bog.

Video of the incident in Beiliu, Guangxi Province, shows police and firefighters working to extract the cow from the marshland.

The emergency responders, with assistance from witnesses, tied ropes to the cow and helped it to climb up on wooden boards to get out of its predicament.

The cow was trapped for about 10 hours and the rescue lasted for more than an hour, witnesses said.
