HILLSBORO, Ore., April 9 (UPI) -- An Oregon sheriff's department shared video of bees swarming a deputy's motorcycle during a crash investigation.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office said the video shared on Facebook was taken Monday at a crash scene where a deputy returned to his motorcycle and discovered it was covered in bees.

"We're not pollen your leg, this swarm made for a non-traditional crash scene yesterday," the sheriff's office said. "Luckily, one of our Lieutenants was willing to try his hand at beekeeping and was able to successfully relocate these infamous little honey makers."

It took about an hour to gather the bees into a box. The insects were turned over to a local beekeeper, the sheriff's office said.

"No bees were harmed in the freeing of this motorcycle!" the sheriff's office said in a Facebook comment.
