Cow escapes from moving truck on Russian road

NIZHNY TAGIL, Russia, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- A Russian motorist's dashboard-mounted camera captured a cow's daring escape from the back of a truck traveling 30 mph on a snowy roadway.

Catherine Kibardina said she was driving Jan. 9 near Nizhny Tagil when she saw a cow climb out from the back of the truck in front of her car while it was moving at about 30 mph.

Kibardina, who posted dash cam footage of the escape to YouTube, said the cow appeared unharmed after making it to the road.

The truck driver did not notice he had lost a part of his cargo until Kibardina caught up and alerted him to the escape, she said.

Kibardina said she does not know if the driver recaptured the cow or whether the truck was headed for a slaughterhouse.
