"Over the weekend this sheep was found wandering the streets of Omaha spreading Christmas Cheer in his holiday sweater!" the Human Society said Tuesday in a Facebook post. "Animal Control was called and brought him in. If you're missing a sheep that enjoys wearing Christmas Sweaters he's here at NHS." Advertisement Owner Margaret Vazquez reunited with her woolly friend, a ram named Gage, on Tuesday night, after he had already made international headlines for his holiday spirit. "I was so happy that we got him," Vazquez, who said her friend had spotted him online, told the Omaha World-Herald. "I was worried that someone would eat him or something bad would happen." Vazquez, who thinks Gage might have escaped through the fence, says she often dresses Gage in festive attire. "It's like you dress your dogs up, your cat, but he's just a sheep, that's the only thing that's different," she said.
