MUMBAI, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- A zoo in India had a case of imprinting when a motherless tiger cub was adopted by a Labrador that even allowed the baby big cat to suckle.

The 2-month old cub was rejected by her mother and the zoo tried to find another animal to take care of her. The unnamed cub nestled up to the dog, Genie, who accepted her.

"They are like (mother) and son. There are many visitors coming just to see the dog and the tiger cub. For the public it's a new attraction seeing the tiger cub very friendly with the dog. They mainly come here to see the dog and tiger." said zookeeper Rakesh Yadav.
