Oscar Lerin, 35, said he and his girlfriend strayed off the path in the Epping Forest to seek out mushrooms, but they instead discovered about 70 marijuana plants that appear to have been professionally cultivated. We had a look and there was a sheet of plastic on the ground and the different soil was on top and the plants were in there," Lerin said. He said the plants were discovered near a school. The forest is managed by the City of London Corp. A representative declined to comment, saying the discovery is "a police matter."
