DEDEDO , Guam, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- An armed robbery in a Guam village ended with physical contact when the masked perpetrator delivered hugs, kisses and apologies to his victims.

Employee Genevie Santos, 23, told the Pacific Daily News that while working at the Lucky Land in Dededo Wednesday night, a man honing a ski mask and a silver pistol forced his way into the game room and ordered about eight customers to "drop on the floor" or be shot.

Santos, who was accompanied by her boyfriend at the time, said that the man demanded all of the establishment's money and began to stuff cash into a blue bag. He threatened to shoot Santos and her boyfriend if they didn't open the door to the attendant's room.

Santos complied out of fear, and once inside the employee area the suspect continued to take money, including $200 and a driver's license from Santos' boyfriend.

The suspect then allegedly returned $7 after Santos, who was weeping and in shock, complained that they wouldn't even have money left to replace the license.

The suspect said he had just been released from prison. He could be seen in a surveillance video hugging and kissing both Santos and her boyfriend.

"I'm sorry, I have no choice. No one wants to hire me," Santos recalled him saying. "I'm sorry you had to be the ones working."

"I was even more terrified," Santos said.

The suspect, believed to be a Chamorro man in his thirties, departed the scene with over $5,000.
