COLORADO SPRINGS, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- A United States military member who also happens to be an Olympic wrestler apparently likes to dabble in hunting -- whether he is in the woods or not.

Dremiel Byers allegedly used a bow and arrow to take out a deer that was roaming near a Colorado Springs car dealership.

After Colorado Division of Wildlife officials found the wounded beast, they were forced to euthanize it.

Police responded to the Lexus dealership after receiving reports about a man stalking a deer and found the 39-year-old and the buck. The suspect was cited for "several hunting and wildlife violations," but was not taken to jail.

Byers, a member of the last two Summer Olympic teams and 10-time U.S. National Champion, is an active duty solider stationed at Fort Carson, FOX21 News reported.

"He's been a great representative of our sport," said USA Wrestling's Senior Communications Manager Craig Sesker. "He's had a great career and is one of the best we've ever had. He has been a great representative of the U.S. Army too."

Parks and Wildlife spokeswoman Abbie Walls told the Gazette that the meat from the dead deer will likely be donated to a local homeless shelter.
