SEATTLE, July 8 (UPI) -- A Washington man may have wanted to make sure that people who started getting legally high on marijuana in his state on Tuesday didn't get all the ink...

According to the Seattle Police Department, a naked man on LSD allegedly woke up a sleeping family by "loudly reciting scripture" early Tuesday morning.

The unidentified man woke a husband and wife and their two young children by breaking into their home and beginning to quote Bible verses.

During the impromptu sermon, the wife called 911 while the husband grabbed a bat and went after the 20-year-old suspect.

Responding officers spotted the naked man on the street "talking to himself" and were able to catch him after a short foot chase, according to the SPD blotter.

The man was arrested for investigation of burglary and transported to Harborview Medical Center after saying he had ingested LSD. He was subsequently booked into the King County Jail.
