Drunken man attempts to break into snow cone stand while it is still open

OKLAHOMA CITY, June 20 (UPI) -- An intoxicated man who really wanted a snow cone had a little trouble when he allegedly tried to break into an Oklahoma City shop that sells the icy drinks.

Michael Donahue's main problem was that the establishment was actually still open.

When police responded to a burglary report at the Snow Cone Shack at about 1 p.m. on Monday, they allegedly saw Donahue trying to work the door knob of the stand.

According to a woman who was working at the shack, the suspect first attempted to break a door knob at the stand, then "began trying to beat and push on the door."

Donahue spoke to police and his "speech was slurred and difficult to understand," NewsOK reported. The 29-year-old said he was "trying to get a snow cone."

He was arrested on complaints of burglary, trespassing and public drunkenness.
