CAMPINAS, Brazil, April 11 (UPI) -- One Brazilian soccer fan claims he is so passionate about his country’s national team that he only wears green, yellow, white and blue -- and that he’s been doing it for 20 years.

Nelson Paviotti claims that he promised to only wear the national team’s colors if Brazil won the World Cup in 1994. The squad was victorious 20 years ago and Paviotti has kept his promise.

According to Paviotti, not only does he dress in team colors, he also only eats food that is green and yellow.

The World Cup will take place this summer in Brazil.

In anticipation of the event, Paviotti has decorated his Campinas home in the national team’s colors as well.

If Brazil, already 5-time world champions, win this time around, Paviotti might have another 20 years of only wearing green, yellow, white and blue.

They certainly have good shot.

“On home soil with a carnival crowd raucous for their heroes, not to mention a wealth of stars like Neymar, Hulk, Oscar and many more at Scolari’s disposal, it will take a Herculean effort to prevent the Pentacampeões from securing a historic sixth World Cup triumph,” according to World Soccer Talk.
