Oscar Mayer app wakes you up to the smell of bacon

The horrible thing about this app is that when you wake up, you'll realize the bacon is not there.

NORTHFIELD, Ill., March 6 (UPI) -- Oscar Mayer is releasing an alarm app and companion device that will allow you to wake up to the smell of sizzling bacon.

There truly is an app for everything. The iPhone app, used with a companion device, will wake a person up at a preset time to the sound of sizzling bacon by puffing out a perfume of pork.

Bacon lovers might think this their dream come true, but they might be disappointed as people can only get the app through sweepstakes on the Oscar Mayer website. The website notes that a limited number of devices are available.

Alas, the app does not actually cook bacon every morning so that is still the user's job.
