'Catch Me If You Can' video motorcyclist arrested

SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- San Antonio police said they busted the man allegedly behind a helmet-cam speeding motorcycle video dubbed "Catch Me If You Can."

The San Antonio Police Department said members of the REACT Auto Theft Task Force responded to a tip about a stolen motorcycle Monday and they unexpectedly found Albert Rodriguez, 26, who had been wanted on outstanding warrants and was also being sought in connection with an online helmet-cam video of a motorcyclist speeding through traffic, the San Antonio Express-News reported Tuesday.

Rodriguez, whose outstanding warrants were for charges of retaliation, evading arrest and family violence, attempted to flee the home but was caught and arrested, police said.

The video, titled "Catch Me If You Can," had been posted to the police department's Facebook page.

"He wanted attention, obviously, by posting this video to Facebook," police spokesman Sgt. Javier Salazar said. "He's got some now. I don't know if it's the kind he wanted."

Police said they did not expect to find Rodriguez when they responded to the tip and the stolen motorcycle recovered during the investigation was not the same vehicle ridden by Rodriguez in the video.
