STOR-ELVDAL, Norway, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- A final deal has been signed to bring a 33-foot-tall elk sculpture to the main road north from the Norwegian capital, the artist confirmed.

Norwegian artist Linda Bakke said she has signed a final agreement with local bank Hedmark Sparbank's art fund and the Norwegian Public Roads Association has given approval for the land along the Riksvei 3 road in Stor-Elvdal to be made available for 33-foot-tall, 40-foot long steel elk, TheLocal.no reported Wednesday.

"It is three years since the idea of 'the big elk' occurred," Bakke told Norwegian broadcaster NRK. "So I'm very pleased that it is now agreed."

The sculpture is scheduled to be unveiled during the second half of 2014.
