Police: Men impersonated officers to get video game

NEW YORK, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- New York police said three men were arrested for claiming to be police officers in an attempt to cut in line to buy the new "Grand Theft Auto V" video game.

Police said Kirolos Abdel Sayed, 19, an auxiliary police officer, and friends Frank Santanastaso, 19, and Matthew Kirsheh, 20, claimed to be police officers Tuesday when they tried to cut in front of hundreds of people in line at the Staten Island Mall to purchase the latest installment of the popular video game series at the mall's GameStop store, the New York Post reported Wednesday.

Police said the three men were pulled over when they ran several stop signs outside of the mall and were charged with criminal impersonation.
