Mayor Ivan Stefic of the Medjimurje region told newspaper 24 Sata the "alien head" smells like men's cologne and was discovered a few feet below ground by workers at a graveyard, The Mirror, Britain, reported Tuesday. Advertisement "I know it sounds crazy, but we can't think of any more rational explanation for what we've found," Stefic said. Some locals said the head seems to be made from a material similar to soft rubber and has a beak-shaped mouth. However, others said it appears to be an oddly shaped tree root. "Wait, a buried alien head is a 'rational explanation?' It's ridiculous!" one local said. "This looks like an oddly shaped tree part. The bark could have become soft from the burial. Wood should be easy to discern from other substances like rock and bone."
