Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe BUFFALO, N.Y., April 6 (UPI) -- A non-driver employee of UPS in Buffalo, N.Y., was arrested for allegedly rerouting packages, including one containing silver bars, to his home. UPS officials confirmed the 26-year-old employee from their Buffalo facility was arrested at his home, where he allegedly was caught with two stolen silver bars, valued at about $5,000, WIVB-TV in Buffalo reported. Advertisement Police allege the man, who name was not disclosed, created shipping labels with his home address on them and put them over the original label so that the packages were redirected from the UPS facility to his home. The man was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and grand larceny, but he could face additional charges because police said he might also have stolen gold bars. WIVB-TV reported it learned the man would open a package at home, not knowing what was inside and if the contents were valuable, police said, the man would sell them.
