BRUSSELS, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- A Belgian newspaper said its investigation discovered two employees of state security agencies put personal information on social networking site LinkedIn.

De Standaard said a senior analyst employed by Belgium's Coordinating Body for Threat Analysis and an employee of state security agency Surete de l'Etat used LinkedIn, where their names and job descriptions could be seen by the public, Sky News reported Friday.

Belgium intelligence officials said they plan to raise the issue at the next meeting of the intelligence committee.

"Russian and Chinese intelligence services employ thousands of people," one official said. "They have the resources to search for such profiles and exploit the information they provide. Our people could, by their very presence on such sites, become the target of hostilities."
