Advertisement The Orange County Sheriff's Office said the three masked men entered the New China eatery in Orlando a little after 9 p.m. Monday and demanded three employees hand over the money from the cash register, the Orlando Sentinel reported Tuesday. However, the employees apparently had trouble understanding the robbers. Two of the masked men pounded on the register in an attempt to open it, accidentally firing a gun in the process. Police said the attempted robbers left without any cash and hopped a retaining wall into Woodridge Apartments. A police dog led officers to a car and three men were detained, but not officially arrested. Man gets prison for lobster thefts ALLENTOWN, Pa., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- A Pennsylvania man who admitted to stealing lobsters to help fund his drug habit was sentenced to 7 1/2 to 25 years in prison. Advertisement Charles Shumanis, 47, of Allentown, was sentenced Monday by Judge Douglas Reichley after he pleaded guilty in September to felony counts of robbery of a motor vehicle, escape and two counts of retail theft, The Allentown Morning Call reported Tuesday. Shumanis admitted in September to stealing lobsters and meat from area grocery stores and carjacking a man following a botched theft attempt. The man said he was selling the lobsters on the street to fund his drug habit. Reichley recommended Shumanis be placed in the state prison in Chester "in order to deal with the defendant's drug and alcohol and mental health conditions." Robbers ride motorcycles through mall LONDON, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Police in London said three men rode motorcycles through a shopping center to carry out a robbery that witnesses said evoked the film "The Italian Job." Investigators said the three robbers rode their bikes through the Brent Cross Shopping Center Tuesday morning and the mall was evacuated, the London Evening Standard reported Tuesday. Witnesses said the men executed an armed robbery at the Fraser Hart jewelry shop. "The break in at Brent Cross was done 'Italian Job' style, but on motorbikes," one witness wrote on Twitter, evoking the indoor driving scene from the heist movie. Advertisement "The police cordoned off a section of the center to investigate the incident," a Brent Cross spokesman said. "We are assisting them with their inquiries. A small area is closed off to the public and Brent Cross staff are directing customers to use an alternative entrance. The majority of stores remain open as normal." Poll: Dogs or cats? Barkley, an agency based in Kansas City, said the choices users make on the "light hearted" http://decideyourside.dev.barkleylabs.com/ poll -- which asks users to pick between options such as chocolate or vanilla and iPhone or Android -- ends with a choice between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney and tells the user how many other supporters of their chosen candidate voted the same way. Other choices on the tongue-in-cheek poll include cats or dogs, "Star Wars" or "Star Trek," football or futbol and red wine or white wine.
