AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Dutch customs officials said a suitcase containing 200 live tarantulas was seized from a German couple at an Amsterdam airport.
The customs officials at Schiphol airport said the couple, who were returning from Peru, were also found to be in possession of dozens of centipedes, crickets, grasshoppers and beetles, DutchNews.nl reported Thursday.
The customs report said the insects and arachnids were seized by officers, but it did not say whether the couple would face any charges.
