SAN ANTONIO, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- A 73-year-old San Antonio woman armed with a pair of scissors and barbecue utensils fended off a home invasion, police said.

Police said Margaret Jackson was alerted to something by her dog Friday afternoon then saw a teen trying to break in when she checked outside the window, KSAT-TV, San Antonio, reported.

"I opened the door," Jackson told the television station, providing a blow-by-blow description. "And he was back there. And he came from back there. And he pushed me. We were struggling."

She said the youth tried to flee but made a mistake when he turned around.

"I got him right in the neck," Jackson said.

"I don't want 'em in here," Jackson told the television station in an interview Saturday. "Cause they come one time and see what's in here and they're coming back. Well, he gonna go tell all his friends so they don't come here. Don't go there because you're subject to get killed with a fork!"

She said she was tired after the excitement, so her daughter called emergency services.
