Miami-Dade Fire Rescue's Venom Unit said it responded to the Palmetto Bay home of Suladie Miranda on a report of a snake swimming in the homeowner's pool, and they arrived to confirm the animal was a Burmese python, WSVN-TV, Miami/Fort Lauderdale, reported Tuesday. Advertisement The unit said the snake twice slithered free from the grip of team members before they were able to place it in a large cage. The team said the animal was taken to a Homestead farm.
