Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe CHICAGO, July 14 (UPI) -- Forest preserve commissioners in Cook County Illinois have gotten rid of old ordinances including those banning juggling, acrobatics and fortune telling. Cook County commissioners voted Wednesday to eliminate the ordinances, which also stated people known to be robbers, burglars, pickpockets and con men could be charged with disorderly conduct if they were seen loitering around buildings in the forest preserves without being able to give a good reason, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Thursday. Advertisement The commissioners also reduced the fine for illegal parking from $500 to $35. Dennis White, chief attorney for the county's forest preserves, said some of the eliminated ordinances were likely illegal. "Someone convicted of a felony, for one, we wouldn't know and we wouldn't want to engage in any profiling," White said.
