Sherry Knight, of Lecanto, said she has been collecting flamingo paraphernalia for years and recently received the news that she is a Guinness World Record holder, Bay News 9, St. Petersburg, reported Thursday. Advertisement "I was yelling in the parking lot," she said of the moment she received the news. "Praise the Lord, yeah, we did it." Knight, who works for a Path Thrift Store associated with a rescue shelter, said she is hoping to use her fame from the record to draw attention to the issue of homelessness.
