LONDON, March 26 (UPI) -- The operators of Britain's national lottery say a crush of ticket purchases for Friday's big EuroMillions drawing caused the system to crash.

Camelot said some players were unable to use their online accounts to buy a shot at the 121 million pound ($210.1 million) EuroMillions drawing.

"Some players were unable to update their card details or add funds to their National Lottery online accounts for a very short period of time," Camelot said in a written statement. "This was due to an issue with the response times from the online banking systems, which meant some transactions were unable to be completed."

The Daily Telegraph said Saturday the EuroMillions jackpot, which had rolled over six times, was won by two ticket holders in Belgium and Portugal.
