The warehouse-store chain said the dresses will only be available at its stores for a limited time and will then be available for purchase online, KING-TV, Seattle, reported Monday.

The store said it is stocking six styles of dresses for $700 to $1,400.

Costco shopper Mary Haltiner said the plan could prove successful for the company.

"I doubt they'd put it next to the hamburgers but they sell coffins online so why not wedding dresses?" she said.

Wilson Patton of Brentwood says he beat the previous record -- 1 hour, 49 minutes -- by more than 5 minutes Saturday at Harpeth School of Gymnastics in Brentwood, The (Nashville) Tennessean reported Monday.

Patton, who began training in gymnastics when he was 6 years old, said he started practicing on the balance board about a month ago.

"My little brother got a Guinness Book of World Records for Christmas," Wilson said. "He's not much for reading, so I borrowed it and flipped through it. When I saw that record, I thought, 'I can do that.'"

Mont Whitson, the teenager's gymnastics coach, said the record attempt was a way for Patton to keep up his training while recovering from a rotator cuff injury.

"He is super dedicated as an athlete, both very intense and talented," Whitson said. "He's had some setbacks with injuries, but he's persevered and kept battling back."

BUFFALO, N.Y., March 8 (UPI) -- A New York state roller hockey team said it is waiting to hear whether its 27-hour game qualifies for a Guinness World Record.

The Buffalo Wings Roller Hockey team, based in Buffalo, said it submitted the weekend's 27-hour, 20-minute game to Guinness as a potential record for the longest-ever roller hockey game, The Buffalo News reported Monday.

The team said the game, which began at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kenan Center in Lockport, raised about $15,000 for Carly's Club for Kids and Cancer Research.

"When it was all over, the adrenaline kicked in, but they'll probably all sleep the rest of the afternoon," Buffalo Wings spokeswoman Cheryl Walsh said Sunday.

Defendants told to pull up pants

NEW YORK, March 8 (UPI) -- New York court officers said forcing defendants with saggy pants to pull them up is a matter of respecting the court.

Court officers in the Bronx and across the city said defendants whose pants hang low enough to expose underwear are being told to hike them up or leave the courthouse, the New York Daily News reported Monday.

They said saggy pants are particularly prevalent among defendants in the Bronx.

"When they wear their pants that way, it shows a lack of respect for the court system and a total lack of respect for themselves," said Dennis Quirk, president of the New York State Court Officers Association. "We don't care about fashion trends."

The officers said they are enforcing policies put in place by city judges.

"I don't want jeans that are hanging out and showing their underwear," city Supreme Court Justice Efrain Alvarado said.
