The event was held Saturday at the Tumbleweed restaurant using two soft-sided pools because heavy rains caused the water level in the Ohio River to rise, The Louisville (Ky.) Courier-Journal reported. Advertisement The water temperature was 36 degrees when the event started. The top fundraiser was Russell Miller, Louisville, with $10,368.80. Mark Buerger, communications director for Special Olympics Kentucky, said Miller was part of the 80-member Ice Socks team, which raised $63,437.
