SASKATOON, Saskatchewan, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- A man who was hit by a freight train in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, was nursing only bruises Thursday with no memory of what happened, police said.

Police said Leonard Nickelray, 29, was walking home along the tracks around 2 a.m. Wednesday listening to his iPod at high volume following a night of drinking, Saskatoon StarPhoenix quoted police as saying.

The Canadian Pacific train's engineer blew the powerful horn several times, but Nickelray didn't hear it and was struck and thrown into the air away from the tracks, an unidentified witness told police.

Soon after, police spotted Nickelray walking a block away "in an intoxicated state," the newspaper said.

He was taken to a hospital where doctors found only bumps and bruises.

"I'm fine, you know. Not even a limp," he told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.

Police were considering filing a trespassing charge against Nickelray, the CBC said.
