Human-biting monkey back on the loose

MISHIMA, Japan, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Japanese officials say a monkey who bit more than 100 people the last time she escaped has escaped again.

The Mishima Municipal Government said Lucky the macaque, who escaped Monday from Rakujuen Garden in Mishima, could pose a danger to residents as she bit 118 people before her original capture Oct. 10, the Mainichi Daily News reported Monday.

City officials said Lucky escaped Monday when a worker opened the inner door of her cage without first locking the outer door. Residents have been instructed to lock the doors of their homes.
