DENVER, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- A farmer in northern Colorado says a miniature cow born on his farm in Campion looks like a panda bear and could sell for as much as $30,000.

Larimer County farmer Chris Jessen said the calf has a band of white around its midsection and black ovals around its eyes, Denver's KMGH-TV reported.

"I just kind of assumed we were going to get a little black calf yesterday (Friday) morning," Jessen said, "and lo and behold we have a little miniature panda calf."

The animal is the second "panda cow" to be born at Jessen's hobby farm. He said the rare panda cows can sell for as much as $30,000 at auction because of their demand as unusual pets.

"The miniature cows are more of a unique collectors breed of cows. The miniature cows are mostly for pets. They would cost too much for you to butcher or anything," Jessen said.

Jessen said he would train the calf to be people-friendly before selling it.
