BROOKSVILLE, Fla., Aug. 18 (UPI) -- A Florida man making a point to his county commission about having to remove his belt for security wound up showing his drawers to officials.

Paul Boston of Brooksville held his belt in his hand Tuesday while asking the Hernando County Commission why men are required to remove their belts while going through Government Center security, the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times reported Wednesday.

Boston noted women whose bras set off the metal detector are not required to remove them for security.

"This is very undignified," Boston said while holding his belt. "You all really don't want to see my butt."

However, moments later, Boston lost hold on his pants and found himself scrambling to pull them back up from the ground.

Commissioner John Druzbick said Boston's wardrobe malfunction "made our day."
