Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe TEMECULA, Calif., May 17 (UPI) -- Police in California said they arrested an alleged bank robber who fled the scene of the crime in a tow truck bearing his company's logo. Temecula police said Robert Yoder, 55, of Fallbrook, walked into the Bank of America branch in Temecula at about 3 p.m. March 29, showed a teller a note demanding money and displayed a handgun, The Riverside (Calif.) Press-Enterprise reported Monday. Advertisement Police said witnesses reported seeing the robber leave in a tow truck parked at a nearby gas station and police showed surveillance footage from the station to the owner of the tow truck company, who recognized Yoder. The company dispatcher sent Yoder on a fake call later in the evening, where he was confronted by police and arrested. Investigators said they found the $1,390 he allegedly took from the bank in a red toolbox in his truck. Yoder is due in court June 4 to face a robbery charge.
