Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe FORT MYERS, Fla., March 10 (UPI) -- A man who stripped off all of his clothes at a Florida bar was subdued by a Taser-wielding police officer and placed under arrest, authorities said. Fort Myers police said they received a call from the manager of the Indigo Room, who also works as a bartender at the establishment, about a patron who was ordered to leave for not wearing shoes but instead stripped off all his clothes and ran into the women's restroom, WBBH-TV, Fort Myers, Fla., reported Wednesday. Advertisement An officer arrived at the establishment and asked the man, later identified as Irving Edwin Howard, to come out of the restroom and put his hands behind his back. Howard came out of the women's room, began screaming and ran toward the officer with clenched fists, a police report said. The officer used his Taser to stun Howard, who fell to the ground, the report said. The suspect attempted to get back up, leading the officer to use his Taser a second time. Howard was arrested and charged with indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest without violence and trespassing.
