The Big Zol supermarket chain said within days a small synagogue with a holy ark will be installed in its newest store in Migdal Haemek, Yedioth Aharonoth reported Wednesday. Aware that many of the shoppers pray several times a day in synagogue, the branch managers decided to offer the option of utilizing the time in a check-out line, the paper said. Before opening their purse strings, customers will be able to catch a quick prayer at the synagogue -- perhaps to seek divine intervention on the bill.
