LONDON, May 15 (UPI) -- A 104-year-old woman is Tweeting away in Britain at IvyBean104, says the manager of an elderly care home in Bradford.
Pensioner Ivy Bean is using Twitter, a social-networking Internet service on which members send notes known as Tweets.
Hillside Manor Manager Pat Wright said Bean was already using the Facebook networking site when The Geek Squad IT support service helped her become the oldest Tweeter in Britain, The Daily Telegraph reported Friday.
Her first posts have included such items as "looking forward to Deal or No Deal later," and "chicken casserole was lovely, going to have a nod now."
Wright said many of the other residents are following in Bean's footsteps.
"Four signed up for 'computer college' while others joined Facebook, surf the net and enjoy themselves with ten-pin bowling on the games console," Wright said.
