Advertisement An employee at the Ridpath Hotel says the concert piano was in its usual place when she left for her dinner break around 11 p.m. Saturday, but she noticed the more than century-old Steinway Grand Piano was gone before 2 a.m. Sunday. The thieves apparently knew what they were doing. The black Steinway weighs nearly 1,000 pounds and was worth at least $25,000, KXLY-TV, Spokane, reported. The hotel is offering a reward for the instrument's return. Police: Stab wounds came from peeler game HIO, Sweden, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Police in Hio, Sweden, said a man apparently received serious stab wounds while playing a game involving potato peelers. Lars Johansson of the Swedish police said the 20-year-old man's non-life threatening injuries were apparently incurred while he was playing a game with another man that involved pressing potato peelers against one another's stomachs, The Local reported. Johansson said the game is known to be common among young men in the area. Advertisement Police said the public prosecutor had not yet determined whether any charges will be filed in the case. Cops: Man faked 911 call for condom refund ENGLEWOOD, N.J., Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Police in Englewood, N.J., said they arrested a man who phoned 911 and reported a robbery after a gas station clerk refused to give him a refund for condoms. Officers arrested Kadien Jackson, 21, after he told police he made the false robbery report to help him get a refund for an unused box of condoms at the Route 4 gas station, The Bergen-Hackensack (N.J.) Record reported. Jackson was charged with making a false report and could face jail time if convicted. "We take something like that very seriously because of the danger it poses to the officers responding," said Englewood Police Capt. Steven Sabo. "I don't think a lot of people realize the seriousness of the offense that they're doing." Baby born in McDonald's restroom WINTER PARK, Colo., Aug. 22 (UPI) -- A healthy baby girl was delivered in the women's bathroom of a Winter Park, Colo., McDonald's restaurant, the new mother said. Christel Short, whose baby was due Aug. 20, said she entered McDonald's with her husband, Scott, and their 3-year-old son to use the restroom after feeling pain that she thought was indigestion, the Sky-Hi Daily News reported. Advertisement However, Short said that once inside the bathroom, she felt an overwhelming urge to push even though her water had not broken. "I yelled, 'Oh my God, I'm delivering my baby! I'm delivering my baby!'" she said. Short said she was assisted in the delivery by her husband, a volunteer firefighter who happened to be in the restaurant and two police officers who arrived soon after the baby began her exodus from the womb. The mother said they named the child Taylor Winterpark Short. Her middle name is a tribute to the town of her birth.
