Crime-fighter finds self behind bars

CHARLESTON, W.Va., Sept. 11 (UPI) -- A West Virginia man who hosts a public-access crime-fighting TV show found himself behind bars for allegedly beating another man in a drug deal gone sour.

Police said Andrew Palmer of Sissonville avoided capture for several days, but was found hiding in a car dealership, The Charleston (W.Va.) Gazette said. Police said Palmer allegedly hit the other man after he refused to buy crack cocaine from him.

Besides hosting "West Virginia's Most Wanted," Palmer, a convicted drug-dealer, is the founder of Chain Breakers, an anti-gang group.
