The rare animal had been spotted in the area before but this is the first reported recording of the white furry creature with bright red eyes, Aftenposten reported Friday. Advertisement Kurt Are Boine Nikkinen was on his way home from a fishing trip when he spotted the albino moose in a field. "It stood and looked at me," Nikkinen told Aftenposten. Luckily, Nikkinen had a video camera in his car and decided to film the moose. "It was completely white and had red eyes," Nikkinen said. "It was a great experience to see and film it. It is not the kind of thing you experience more than once in a lifetime." The man, who is also a hunter, said he could never shoot the white moose. "It would make a special trophy but it won't be on my wall. Such a fine animal should be protected," he said in the Aftenposten report.
