Man injured falling down ventilation shaft

MIAMI, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Miami Beach police are questioning a man who was hospitalized after he fell down a ventilation shaft at a trendy Florida hotel

Fire officials say the man fell about three floors early Tuesday morning at the Shore Club, WPLG-TV reported.

The televisions station said it took rescuers a while to reach the man because years of renovations to the building made the ducts difficult to access. He was hospitalized in stable condition.

Police say it is unclear if the man was a hotel guest and are trying to determine if he was an early-morning prowler, WPLG said.
