NEW YORK, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Christmas shoppers with a taste for the extravagant can purchase a 63-mile trip into outer space and back for six people for $1.7 million.

The space trip, which also includes a four-night "wind down" all-inclusive stay afterwards on Virgin chairman Richard Branson's private retreat in the British Virgin Islands, is the topper in the newly published luxury retailer Neiman Marcus 2006 Christmas catalog, CNN/Money reported.

The space journey sends six passengers 63 miles above the Earth via Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo.

For those who prefer high speed with four wheels on the ground, the catalog, now in its 80th year, offers a limited edition 2007 BMW M6 convertible. For $139,000, or $278 per horse, buyers get a 500 horsepower engine, the report said.
