SACRAMENTO, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- The governors of California and Texas have a friendly bet on the outcome of next week's Rose Bowl game.
Both Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Gov. Rick Perry have donated boots from their states autographed by both men, Schwarzenegger's press office said. They will be auctioned off and the proceeds will go to charity -- along with baskets of produce from both states.
If the University of Southern California Trojans win the Rose Bowl, the money goes to the National Guard Association of California Scholarship Fund and the National Guard of California gets the produce. If the University of Texas Longhorns come out on top, the money will be donated to the Texas Disaster Relief Fund and the baskets to the Texas National Guard.
