PONTYPRIDD, Wales, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Welsh investigators are trying to determine what killed a woman whose husband failed to report her death for five months and kept the body at home.

Police said Elizabeth Lewis, 79, was found in a bed in her Pontypridd home. Neighbors called authorities because they hadn't seen her for months. Her husband, Howard Lewis, 69, a former milkman, was arrested and released on bail pending the outcome of the inquiry.

An autopsy on the woman's body was suspended because of its condition. Police said, however, they did not suspect foul play.

Neighbors told the South Wales Echo Lewis apparently went into denial over his wife's death and just went about his normal activities in the last five months.
