Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe BOSTON, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- A released Boston-area convict en route to his aunt's home says he mistakenly walked into a neighbor's house -- the home of a despised prison guard. To make matter worse, ex-con Stephen Rafuse Jr., is accused of wanting the guard, John Marino, dead. Advertisement Rafuse, 28, of South Yarmouth, told the Boston Herald it was "nothing but a big mistake." He can only hope a jury laughs it off when his case goes to trial Nov. 21. "It was a mistake, pure and simple," said Rafuse's defense attorney, William Korman. "It is incredibly unlikely that my client would have access to the home address of a correction officer." Gerard Pickup, an alleged reputed cellblock snitch Rafuse met when he was thrown in the Plymouth House of Correction on the new breaking and entering charge, claims Rafuse told him he went to Moreno's house to kill him.
