Alcohol has been banned since 1996, and now only certain drink containers are allowed in.

Tortillas aren't allowed in because they tend to get used as Frisbees, university officials said.

They also require fruit to be cut up into small pieces to avoid being used as projectiles.

It's the marshmallows that are the big concern though.

A former half-time tradition, objects like batteries and rocks have been put into the marshmallows over the past few years.

Besides fans, players, coaches and band members have gotten hurt as well.

Eighty police officers and more than 300 security guards are working at University of Colorado games.

Eight people were arrested and 52 ejected from last years game between the two teams.
